Our summer sports program is incorporated into our regular curriculum. It focuses on gross motor skills, coordination, agility, team work, eye-hand and eye-foot coordination. The children learn their basic swings such as swings used in golf, baseball and tennis. They develop and strengthen skills of catching, throwing, bouncing, dribbling, passing, kicking, dodging balls, shooting hoops, making goals and hitting targets. During our weekly water play the children have beach ball races, crab walks, splash tag, rainy day relays, and rain stick limbo. The summer sports program is great fun and helps children develop a concept of healthy competition.
